Mayko's Decade Celebrations - A series of interviews with the Mayko family around the world #2Washington

We are undoubtedly in a complicated period, many things are changing and falling apart, and uncertainty is in the air.
During the midst of all this, we continue our series of articles about you, the members of the Mayko family, all the blog's participants reveal to us a part of the path he has taken in this decade, and there is some magical moment when looking back from the perspective of time that will give new and even exciting insights.

This time our brave representative is Skyla Zozosky, that comes to us from Vancouver, Washington. knew that she is one of our oldest customers pretty much from the beginning because she is also a friend of Maya's personal Facebook, we got to know the family, the lifestyle, and the amazing personality, far beyond bags. She had just become a friend!
We love people! We love to hear stories and get to know the people behind the screen. We are inviting you from the bottom of our hearts to become our friends.
Mrs. Zozosky is 47 years old, a wife, a mother, and to a great surprise, a grandmother too!!!
We asked Skyla to look back over the last decade and saw, what a defining moment in her life was. Probably like many of us, that defining event was Covid.
This period was shaky and confusing, full of fear and uncertainty.
Not being able to see friends or family, unable to travel, schools closed, workplaces closed, and many businesses went out of business and some people get depressed.
Luckily for her, she works in dentistry in Washington state, they closed and stopped operating for only two months.
"I remember the day we were allowed to go back to the clinic and see patients. The best day ever!" Skyla shares and adds:
“That event opened my eyes up about spending more time with the ones you love. You can never get back time. Time is so precious. It also allowed me to slow down a little in life. I learned setting healthy boundaries is a crucial form of self-care that is not always easy. I still got to work at it, but now I am trying to set boundaries about how I spend my time and what commitments are achievable for me. I prioritize. People and activities that fill my cup and make me happy”.
Out of the entire arsenal of bags you have, do you have a
favorite?
“I love the Mayko bags! My go-to is the Woman’s leather backpack. I have it in the Gray color. You are probably wondering how I came across the company and these wonderful bags. I had a patient's parent coming into our office years ago, she was sporting the backpack I purchased. I was in love with the way it looked on her back and the color.
She took it off her and had me look in it, open and close the zipper, and try it on. Before she left her office she gave me all the info so I could order one. I had to have it! My backpack has traveled all over the World with me, as my husband and I love cruising. know women always go through phases of changing purses to new styles, not me, my Mayko backpack has never changed, and I haven't changed my bag. Always get compliments on it! My second for Mayko is the brown wristlet. I love it for a dressy night where you don't have to lug around your entire purse. Maybe just your identification and of course lip gloss! I have it in Brown. My dream bag is a new brown backpack, it's on my wish list!”

What is your advice to our readers?

“My best advice to all my Mayko-loving friends is that one of the most important life lessons that we need to learn is the importance of patience. During the pandemic, I felt like I was running out of it. Patience is defined as an individual's ability to wait for something significant to happen without feeling frustrated due to the delay. Time and patience kind of go together is what I’ve found out in the last three years. In life, you'll have to wait for a lot of things without feeling negative. It’s hard, but something achievable. Thankfully through all the fun and hard times in life, I’ll be rocking my Mayko bags!”

And here ends another look at one of you. We were happy to meet a strong and exciting woman. Thank you, Skyla, for sharing your story
